Ok, I'm trying to figure out where I can get one of these YDR intakes I hear so much about. I've done some research and found out that "suprman1124" was selling them in 05, stopped in 06, and started again in March of this year. Does anyone know where I can buy one? I PM'd suprman1124 already but no reply.

Also, I've only seen post of xBs with the YDR intake. Is this intake only for the xB or will it fit an 06 xA?

i had the same problem as you so i did this - order a cheap ebay intake on ebay (keep in mind your really just buying the pipe and hardware ) then go get a k&n that fits

k&n makes air filters in all shapes and sizes
so i got the ebay intake for $40 shipped to my house the k&n was $40 from autozone (yup they actually had it instock) i fergot the part number il try to figure it out for ya

total $80 the intake quality is great and it sounds great

how do you wire up the MAF sensor? is their a connection or an opening for it?

I was thinking about those ebay intakes, but I've heard stories where metal flakes come off the inside the pipe and go into the engine, or the MAF not sitting right and getting broken, or the intake pipe being too big in diameter. I don't want to risk it, I'll wait and save up for a K&N intake. But if you know of a good seller on ebay, ill look into it.

There is an opening for it on the pipe. You take the MAF off the stock intake and put it on the new one. Here is a "how to" with pics, https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=77523
