Just a question, whut would be the difference between that intake and say an injen, or K&N and all the better ones. Besides the air filters?

look at the location of the MAF , why is it near the filter and not closer to the stock location ( nearer the TB ) ?

look at the location of the crankcase intake ( yes that fitting is an intake of fresh, clean air INTO the crankcase, have seen many people put catch cans in this line , they also think that oil fumes are sucked into the system here , but thats another thread)

as long as the welds are quality , you install properly ( clean the inside very good) I don't see any problems with e-bay intakes. but you do get what you pay for.

depends on what you want/need.
short ram gives more torc and hp at a lower RPM ( thats were our box needs it IMO )and cleans up the look of the engine bay, but makes a hissing sound and isn't real noticable for show use.

a CAI spreads the torc and hp to the higher RPM rang and give a nice show look, but ive seen a few people have problems with strut tower bars / CAI combos. i don't know about any intake noise.

i like the SR better because of the sound when im in the upper RPMs and over 65% open throdel. GRRRRR
its lighter and gives me more room in the engine area to do other things.

The location of the MAF and vent is what I noticed first... that think looks like a real POS.

Seriously, spend the extra money and be sure that you have a quality part.

if you are going to go with an eBay intake, just do one thing... trash the filter before it falls apart or totally off the base and into the street. This is not a good thing! Replace with K&N filter. good to go
