its nice to see some real dyno results rather than all this butt dyno garbage everyone posts.

to straighten things out, is this something you guys at MMW designed, and then weapon r slapped their name on?

MMW and WR are the same company.
MMW is our Scion only Parts Company.

Basically WR is a sister company.

come on guys, let's give monster a break.

if you are a company that is producing a product, the best way is to offer some proof of it's performance. there's nothing wrong with that.

it is priced at a price point in line with the other headers of its type on the market, and from the pics, it looks like it's quality stuff.

instead of accusing the guy of being sneaky, why don't we thank him for posting the info, and pick his brain with questions first before becoming hostile.

Monster is a pretty reputable company from what I've read. Let's give the guy a break.

It was not our intention to be "sneaky." The participating vehicle hadour intake, Magnaflow exhaust, and Nology wires. All three header/manifolds were tested on the car with the same accompanying mods. We did not add anything extra when dynoing our header, or any of the other two.

The point everyone should be looking at is the differential gain between the three setups, not the overall peak hp. Most companies advertise their peak power gain, and say nothing else. The problem with this is that it diverts the consumers attention to what is actually more important, the area under the curve, and across the powerband gains.

if they both gained 10.8 lb ft over stock how can the mmw make 5 lb ft over the strup ?

and the mmw is apparently only 3 hp better than the strup not 6. going by first run numbers.

why are they all done at different rpms? ........ are these the optimum for all or just for the optimum for mmw and the minimum for strup or the minimum for stock?
They did not BOTH gain 10.8 ftlbs and 6hp over stock, that's the gain for the MMW. If your read the chart correctly, you will see where the markers are set at, and see that they denote numbers on the stock and MMW lines, not the Strup. The purple line is the stock run, the red is the Strup, and the blue is the MMW. The RPMs you see on the bottom are not what the dyno was run at, but rather where the markers are set at to show the max gain across the board.

I know Dynapack charts are a lot different from the common DynoJet charts, and a bit harder to read, but please people. Be civilized in your comments before knowing all the facts.

i have carefully read this whole post and here is my .02.....no you did not say the car was STOCK just "oem header" was stated ....but you should state what mods are done to the car before hand.....i can see how someone might think your talking about a bone stock car making that much power putting it a bit past 100whp by the header alone....secondly i dont think its very cool to snake off of another companys product its not a MMW header its a WEAPON R header offered by MMW.....i mean dude cmon it says it right there on a placard as big as my mothers a$$ and thats sayin something.....i would just have to say you should rep your product truthfully and give credit where its due like to WEAPON R not take it for yourself.....with that being said im sure SL members and myself truly do appreciate the fact that your out there R&D parts and offering items for sale for our fun cars

Here's the point. We didn't just dyno our header and say "Hey! We made XXXhp!" We dynoed the stock header, using it as a BASELINE. From there we dynoed the two headers. We do apologize for not stating that the vehicle had other mods, but given that we started with a stock manifold BASELINE, and made no changes other than the headers, the differential gains are the same. We did not cheat by adding another mod with our header just to boost gains. ALL TESTS WERE DONE WITH THE SAME SETUP.

When looking at these types of dyno tests, please understand that it is not the peak hp that the car put out that matters, but rather the power difference between the different setups. We showed our point, our header gained over stock, and our competitors. Regardless of any other mods that car had, the gain is still there, because ALL TESTS WERE DONE WITH THE SAME SETUP.

And if you had REALLY read this thread carefully, then you would have seen that we stated MMW is Weapon*R's Scion only brand, meaning WR produces ALL of the products in the MMW line, and sells it under that banner.
MMW and WR are the same company.
MMW is our Scion only Parts Company.

Basically WR is a sister company.
On a final note, please excuse me if my tone sounds a bit harsh. I don't mean to bash anyone, just make that facts clear.

it STILL is a weapon r product not mmw ITS SAYS IT ON IT PLAIN AS DAY "WEAPON R" it is mearly offered by your "sister" company that is scion only parts dealer......if i had a shop thats called Xmotorsports and sell honda only parts for lets say DC....i have no right to say its a XMS header BECAUSE ITS NOT.....it still is the product of DC not me and my company/shop ect......as far as the claims of power your header made im not saying they are false purely stated that i could understand how someone could get confused ACTUALLY your figures seem about right for a 4-2-1 header and i for one would be interested in one IF the price wasnt astronomical....the price that was stated on here and your website was "retail" sooooo what would the price be for SL members or if a bulk buy could get set up?

if you look at how the thread was started then you kinda did start it by saying look we made xxxhp the only text that is ther is " we dynod these headers" then the graphs...thats it ......i understand that the actual process is more indepth i am PURLEY trying to explain how the confusion/possible conspiracy theory came about...not saying there is one.

P.S. sorry guys for the 2xpost

You're still not understanding me. MMW is Weapon*R. It is not a dealer of Weapon*R, nor is it owned by any other company. MMW is simply a name and entity we introduced to separate our Scion specific parts line from our other WR products. Yes, it is a WEAPON*R product, but because all of our Scion parts are sold only through the MMW banner, it is a MMW product. Does that not make sense? Just like AEM owns DC. AEM does all the R&D for it, but sells it under the DC banner. Does that make the DC header an AEM header? No, it doesn't.

The MSRP for the header is set at $350. Since this header has not been released to our dealers yet, I cannot specify as to how much they will be offering it for. As with any new product, most prices will be pretty close to the MSRP for a little while, as it is on our website. If SL members want a group buy going, we are open to that and inquiries can be sent to our email.

We didn't state any numbers. We plainly said that we tested three headers, and posted the charts to be analyzed. Now if people would stop looking at the numbers on the bottom, and pay attention to what is on the chart, we might get somewhere in this discussion.

by posting dyno charts you are posting numbers your showing a graph of hp & ts vs rpm on three different headers....not even looking at the numbers below the graph there are still numbers on the graph so yes you did state numbers your stating IN your dynograph that the oem made xxx as a baseline and the strup made xxx and the weapon r made xxx over the baseline.....re-phrase/word/gussie it all you want but the plain and simple fact is YES you DID post numbers and a claim as to what the weapon r header's performance is vs OEM and strup.....and as you stated you posted them to be analyzed....so dont get all worked up when people analyze them with sceptic thoughts and question things when they are going on what they were given....nothing but images of the dyno plot

A Graph is not a number at all. It is just something to go by.

Weapon-R and MonsterMotor Works are the same company. Badging doesn't mean a thing. Give these guys a break. They are the only comapny that has gone and posted test , dyno, results on this board. They stand behind their product and its hard to find a company out there that does.

Bottom line, these guys are good at what they do and know what they do. They are helpful and very informative.

Fine, if you look at it that way, yes we posted numbers. When I made this statement "We didn't just dyno our header and say "Hey! We made XXXhp!", what I meant by it is that we didn't just post up a final horsepower number like 120whp and say that the header was great because it made 120whp alone. We could have said we did a dyno of our header, and the result was 120whp, without telling anyone we had other mods, and without testing any other headers. That wouldn't mean diddly squat if you didn't know the power before the header, right? We tested the OEM header, and a competitor's header, to show the actual differential gain.

I'm not getting worked up from people analyzing the graphs. But it would be a better idea to ASK a question, rather than just jump and make a negative comment without getting the facts first. This is not directed toward anyone specific, it is just something that I notice is a common response in these forums.

i stated above that i apreciate that they R&D parts for scion and i dont think i ever stated that ANYTHING they've posted on here is false OR questionable purely my OWN .02 nothing more

uncivilaized.....a dyno graph is something to go by for what purpose? to find out what? and what is it you go by on the dyno graph?....gee i think its to find out hp&tq Vs rpms and you go by.....OH MY!.....numbers....i didnt state that "the graph is a number" i said by posting a graph your posting numbers as in the numbers on the graph

back to mmw and weapon r i truly do appreciate all that anyone including you do to help the SL comunity and the affection we have for our unique vehicles and the evolution from a stocker to whatever it is one might desire
