Default ZPIracing taking delivery of XB on friday

ZPIracing is proud to announce that we will be taking delivery of our nex xB this friday. We have been waiting for awhile and it has finally came in.

Why are we telling you this? In the power hungry forum?

Because we are ZPIracing and you know what that means. We will be offering a complete product line directed towards the xB. You can expect similair prouducts to that in our tC line up.

Is there any thing you guys would like to see? Something we should focus on first?

We will be watching the xB forums a lot more now. We are here to learn a little too as this is a brand new platform for us. So any inside info that you all have alreayd figured out that you think we need to know by all means let us know.

Thanks for reading and we look forward to having some fun with the box

Motor conversion kits.

I think you are very limited as to what you can do with the stock motors.

i second what franken said a motor mount/swap kit would be the best thing.....as for the 1nzfe try making a 4-2-1 header only one other company is developing them(MMW)

i like the idea of a bad **** stock motor, how about a really good stroker kit, then add a turbo to that, make this baby push out as much as possible

swap kit! ala HASport or Sohfast for Hondas

a stage 0 turbo for the box, with boost safe for stock internals!

a safe Supercharger......that is designed for the american xB...

a really nice axel back , designed for Forced Induction

a top mounted turbo setup instead of jammed behind the firewall, then a fuel setup thats worthy, possibly cams/rods/pistons, cv joints/axels, etc

I personally would like to see:
Turbo option for 1nz motor.
New head package
Stroker kit to a 1.7 or 1.8l
A turbo exhaust system.
Stand alone if possible..

Do what ZPI does best. The 1nz-fe isn't too bad, all the xb needs is in the range of 160-170whp to make it fast given the weight and gearing. When i say fast i don't mean it can beat a sti, i mean fast compared to others in its class thats street driven pretty much daily. "Your average car person" i suppose is what i'm getting at..Eh, whatever, you get my point.

About time!!

The offset crank on the 1nz doesn't make it a good candidate for boost from what I've read. Hope you guys can find a solution.

I'd like to see a 8-11psi turbo with the right build up on the bottom and top end.

What has been learned is other than an intake right now, the rest of the mods are useless N/A, pretty obvious that headers on a 1.5L will get you NO gain if not slow you down.

Boost.

Boost.

Make sure fuel is up to snuff and release a reliable turbo setup for the xB and I will buy it.

I would like to see an adjustable ignition timing setup, possible ECU rewrites. I am going to contact my brethren in the 3800 world and see if they can work their magic and get us write capability. I have found a scanner that can read ISO so my bases will be covered there.

Boost.

That's the only way to get anything decent out of a 1.5L, and I am willing to bet the internals are just fine. Don't replace things that don't need to be replaced!

I was dyno'd at 104whp @ 4,200rpm on an N/A automatic. Obviously its not completely useless. A rough 14whp gain is pretty average for any 4 cyl. with bolt ons... I get what your saying, we probably wouldn't see major gains off N/A vs. turbo. But, at the same time, the odds of any n/a'd motor getting the same gains a turbo does is pretty slim.. Depending on the size of the turbo obviously.. That makes sense i guess.

ITB setup. This could really make the car a lot more fun to drive. Bump the rev limiter up to 7k and let em sing.

Yes! Hell, raise it a little higher than 7k. I'm used to high revving honda motors, i'd really like to see my redline raised to 7,500-8K if possible. 7k at the very least.

Where do you get 84whp from? Just wondering, have you dyno'd yours? The lowest number i've seen dyno'd for a stock xb is 86whp. I've seen as high as 94whp and i've even seen some autos pull in the 90-91whp range.

At any rate, we all want more power! ;)
