Default greddy turbo kit for 2006 auto xb

was always afraid of forced induction, been on the forums for about a year now and watched alot of people come out good.now i am runin out of things to do to my xb and started to turn a lil more to power adders.got a k&n typhoon pulley header axle back and high flow cat,and didnt notice much,i realize you lose the intake header and exhaust doing a turbo setup but im sure the gains are well worth it.i dont see why u can only do a manual xb greddy turbo what does that have to do with how the kit installs?would like to hear from the other auto trans forced ind. pep.

no the kit would install the same (your xB is an '06 so you would have to purchase the correct plug-n-play harness that's all) . I dont see why it would be a problem on an auto the Greddy is a good streetable tune out of the box, not too crazy. You should get an automatic transmission cooler though.

Greddy ships with an 05 harness. I don't believe they make an 06 harness (still, lazy bastards), call to confirm ((732) 432-4900 East, (949) 588-8300 West coast). The one blown_xa probably refers to is sold through PTuning. I wired one up myself but it takes a few hours of physical work and a few more before hand to check the Scion drawings and remap the pin config from an 05 to an 06. BTW, 26 wires need to be moved. Whether or not the extra $300 is worth not building your own is your choice; you won't have to re-validate the prewired harness.

If you find a tranny cooler for the auto xB let me know, I want one, as well as an upgraded torque convertor. The greddy s/c is the lowest output of the three but good on on gas mileage and engine wear due to the bypass valve and no need for an oil line. In hindsight, I would have gone with a turbo but at my time of purchase Greddy was only selling their turbo without an intercooler, now they have an add-on upgrade that doesn't need the crash bar trimmed I think.

mama always said what?

..."don't turn up your boost to 13psi and bounce it off the rev limiter while doing a burnout" >???

My mama never told me not to do that.
