Default LMS Turboed xB

well it was a while in development but it is now nearing completion. 9.5:1 compression pistons, resleeved block, Garrett GT25r turbo, HKS SuperSquential BOV, LMS i-Managed fuel system controller, 2.5" exhaust all the way back from the down pipe with a A'pexi N1 turbo muffler at the end.

should have some dyno numbers at the end of the week. but in the mean time here's some pictures to tickle your tastebuds...

So have you actually gotten to drive it yet? How does it run? How does the iManage work in the boosted xB application? Are you getting a CEL using this system?

It is excellent to see more and more companies looking at the xB as a viable performance option. Especially another company here in California. What is the boost being set at for this car? Is LMS planning on releaseing this as a production item to the public?

OK... enough questions. Just keep us informed.

yes, ive been driving it for a little over a week. its damn quick, about as fast as a stock is350, the i-manage works awesome i havent had any problems. i am getting an error code because i have no cat installed so the sub sensor isnt hooked up to anything right now.

the boost is set at 10.5lbs. As of right now they are thinking about releasing it but since it was designed on a built motor they are a little weary about letting people put it on a stock motor.

so far not really, just had the plastic engine cover wrinkle a little, I'am wrapping the turbo this week so we'll see how much that helps.

Get a high flow cat and put your 2nd O2 sensor back in and take care of the CEL..especially since your in Cali or put a CEL eliminator on..

As for releasing the kit: It's simple built motors- 10psi +, 5-speed- 7 to 7.5 psi and Auto's - 6 psi... They shouldnt be scared to release it, unless they are not confident in there product.. Is this running an external or internal waste gate?

But overall the kit looks very nice..

I agree with Proshop. They should have no problems with the kit running lower psi for non-built cars. Assuming the turbo is works well at those lower boost numbers. And as Billy said, the kit is dialed enough to work in a production form.

And I agree on the catalytic converter deal as well. Get a high flow cat and hook up a the sensor. I would love to see if LMS' iManage system is really able to work around the CEL most other engine management systems throw.

By the way... do you happen to know if there was an LMS supercharged Lexus at the Monterey Historic races last year? I remember there being a boosted Lexus there. Just don't remember if it was from LMS.
