you gonna spill the beans as to what motor and tranny you gonna use or keep it a secret? i've been wanting to see a motor swap in an xa for almost 2 years now. coming from the bmw world, i know what a motor swap can do for a car.

You wish buddy.... You let me know the dollar amount you drop into your car for the engine swap and what ever other goodies you put on to the new engine to make it faster... Listen 8psiXA I was not trying to be rude with my prevous comment or jealous or immature (belevie me im grown up ) I was simply trying to state the reality of life.. You are gonna do an engine swap in your DDer.. Engine swaps dont just fall right in and work perfectly 100% of the time... Im mean come on cars with factory engines that are meant to be in there dont even work perfect all the time. So you are increasing your chances of having issues because of the swap, let alone the down time to fab the swap into the car and if somthing goes wrong during the process of putting it in. .. If you are okay with any down time and etc. etc.. then dont worry or flench an eye at what I just said.. I think an engine swap is an awsome idea for a sleeper car, especially an xA.. But when it is you DDer it can take a toll on you when it is down and not running.. Beleive me I know, cause I was with out my DDer for 3 months when it was the test car for ZPI's turbo kit and it sucked having to have my wife drive me every where or bum rides off freinds.. Im gonna end my rant now and say this..

400 whp would consist of a stand alone.. thats a 1000+ and the cost of dyno tuning..
turbo, clutch, injectors, axles, built motor, etc..
ive ran 12's before... in a festiva that i drove every day.. the tc motor will more likely take me to the 600-700 whp range dont ya think???.. now you bring it

so 8psixa your gunna sell this turbo kit youy just bought and do a motor swap hmmm im guessin with the cost of wateva motor your gettin and installation standalone ecu and tuning you must be lookin at over 5 grand wow for that you better atleast make it in the 13's

So you wanna do a dick measuring contest huh???? Well I can play along, I got nothing better to do right now.How can you call BS when you dont even know what vehicle im driving .. and yes I can spend $3k and get over 400whp and 450tq on pump gas (who knows what on race gas) and run high 11's if not better... If you want to really push the limits.. I can spend 6k and run 10's.. If you want me to make you a list of mods for me to run 400whp you just let me know.. Oh yeah and that is on a stock ECU, axles and no built motor.. Im not playing with Scions anymore.. I moved on to bigger and better beast.
Oh and if your gonna run a tC motor( which is very cool..
) You better make sure you make that engine bullet proof if you want 600- 700 out of it.. Let alone your tranny and axles.. Cause 500- 600hp will eat that $hit alive let alone 700.. Like I said in my above post.. I think its great that some one is actually gonna do a motor swap, especially a tC motor.. But I just feel bad that your gonna do it to a daily driver and possibly your only car.. Maybe time to buy a POS to drive around while your doing the work to the xA..
