Oh, my cel went back off when I was on my way home today.

Bummer...figures it would happen the same day haha. Keep us updated when you try some things to fix the bog, I'll do the same. Hopefully we'll figure it out soon...

Exclamation new belts and catalytic converter

Just to let you guys know I did some things and I still have the bogging problem.

I changed all three belts. Got rid of all the chirps and squeals, but not the bog. Really nice and quiet now. Please don't waster your money on the greddy belts. I got all my Gates belts from O'reilly and they work fine.

I had a problem with one of my resonators rattling. Took it back to the muffler shop and they said they would replace it at no cost to me. So, I asked if he would just give me that credit towards a new catalytic converter, since it was the resonator right where the original cat was located, and he did. I hope that will fix my CEL for good. Going catless isn't really worth the hassle IMO. BTW exhaust no longer stinks.

The bog is still there but doesn't seem to be as bad, although I could just be getting used to driving with it.

How do you like the the supercharger? I'm thinking of getting Blitz's SC for my Xa. Would you say the power added by the SC was worth it?

Are all u guys running SC's using the stock internals? I think I might spring for a Blitz kit, but I'm worried it might blow up my engine. How much boost do you get out of the SC's anyway?

Smile Fixed!

Yesterday I put the stock air box back on. This has fixed my problem altogether.
The car is also quieter, which is fine by me.

read my lips: No More Bogging!

woo hoo

Wow, really? What intake were you using? Glad to hear its all better now.

I put an xb transmission in my echo last week and the car feels way better with the high final drive. I'm also working on getting a proper tune.

I was using a Fujita SRI. The cheap, straight one that runs over behind the headlight. I had the Zex air filter on there with a nitrous nozzle in the end (before the s/c I was gonna do nitrous). Yes the nozzle was plugged. It never ran that well with it on there. Maybe the top end was better but the low end rpm SUFFERED. I love it now still has the power, quieter, no bog. I can't believe I finally fixed it. I'm SO SCARED it's gonna do it again! Knock on wood.

Did your transmission go out? Man, I know the swap is not worth it, but I would love to have a 5 speed.

No, just wanted better acceleration 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Its like driving a different car! Its annoying at highway speed but I'm not on there too much. I have the AEM CAI that goes straight over into the fender and it works great. I love hearing the s/c With stock intake or a SRI in summer temps I'd have NO POWER from heat soak. I used to run a Blitz SUS but had to change it out.
