Default $950.00 Clams for a midrange audio upgrade.

I went to my local radio car install place and they quoted me $950.00 for a middle of the road uprade to the 2 door spearkers the 2 tweeters and a sub woofer w/box in the back and a 6 channel amplifier under the passenger seat. I did not want to replace the stock head unit. Does this sound about right or is it way too high for an install. I live in the San Diego area

Thanks for any input. Deputy Dawg :?

you should hit up Jon from SPFR!

i think you can get almost the full image dynamics/SPFR setup for around that

2x 4" Image Dynamics CTX4 speakers for the dash
2x 6" Image Dynamics CTX6 speakers for the door

1 Amp

SPFR sub enclosure and a Image Dynamics ID 12 v.3 12" Sub

I know the full setup with everything and a new headunit is around $1200 or so...

You should come to the Scion Evoluiton BBQ on saturday and have a listen, there are a few guys that are running this setup, sounds WICKED, especially for the price.

It's a good sounding system...probably the one I'm going to run in my own car.
