Default 06 Toyota Camry Navigation headunit installed! *pics*

some final installed pix of the unit in my box

I would like give wgeee7478 many thanks for answering my stupid questions, I probably wouldn't be able to install it without him and his very helpful FAQ.

I bought the unit for $1600. The installation wasn't too bad, most of the work was taking off the whole front dash and the most difficult part was finding the speed sensor wire and splicing it to the unit.

You can find a complete detailed FAQ writtne by wgeee7478 in the tech/FAQ section.

Wow, Alot of similarities to my eclipse avn-5435. It would appear that Fujitsu Ten / Eclipse made that for them. The Nav screens look almost identical. It also looks like it uses a DVD Nav Map. Hmm, cool but I like the Eclipse just a little better. Is it MP3, Sirius capable?

it says JBL on the unit

With additional plug n play parts you can add XM, MP3, rear view cam, bluetooth, video to the unit

all you need now is an eclispe rear view cam and voila! i think it is model 103 or 203. it is plug and play. many folks over at the sienna site did the same.

now why did you choose the camry unit and not the solara unit? is it because the scion's is not digital sound?

oh the place to buy is www.oemvalue.com

That is the eclipse unit..... Eclipse makes all the units for toyota/lexus. Thats why Toyota also makes side brackets for the eclipse unit to fit perfectly into the xa xb.

Also Im sure people noticed the eclipse unit plugs right into the factory harness.

Eclipse is Fujitsu Ten which makes all the video chips for Kenwood Pioneed and others alike.

Nice install
