I just removed and reinstalled my radio to find a dash rattle. I did not have the ASL before, and now I do. The extra connector was in the harness but was not foamed in like yours was. I could have connected the wrong one (or the right one) when I put it back together. I asked the dealer why I didn't have the ASL (automatic sound level) and their response was my radio didn't have that feature. Lazy dealer blow off specialist.

I had my door panels off recently and noticed an extra harness in the driver's door. anyone know about this?

Can you tell me what you hooked up to as far as wire colors for your sub? I'm havin a doozie of a time findin which wires to hook up. I have the amp and sub installed. Just need the wire colors to the back.

I tried hooking up to the rear speakers but the radio wouldn't work after I turned it off, then on.. weird.. but when I disconnected the tap the radio worked.

Oh.. I have an 06 Xa.. I can't find the wiring diagram for it anywhere.. I've searched the ones on here.. but it seems mine's different than the XB? I donno.. my color coding is different.

too bad every lowes in north america is out of that OEM style switch gbw-45 whatever it is

The extra is for the DVD player in the RS series for the tv headrest wiring.....then the other plug that will not be plugged into a aftermarked stereo would be the steering wheel controls and aux plug.....
