This is exactly what I want to do with my tC. I haven't been able to find the Ipod HU anywhere though. Where did you get all the parts, connector and cable? I could probably try to install that myself, but I'd probably have to take it somewhere to get that connector in (probably not Rosner Scion in Fredericksburg though).

how/why is the new ipod deck 695? the option is only like 265 or 300 or so.

isn't that the upgrade cost? with it being an upgrade you would still need to pay for the initial cost of the unit.

I just got my 05 xB, and the dealer got my iPod head unit delivered. Other than what came with the head unit, what all did you have to supply to get this to work? Thank you SO MUCH for posting this, everyone at the dealers here in TN and on scionchat.com say it can't be done. You have done an awesome job proving them wrong.
