What's my best bet?
Also looking for a decent but not expensive security system... Anyone know of a GPS or RF tracking system thats hardwired but cheaper than lojack?

Go here...
http://www.edesignaudio.com/groupbuy.php
Now order up an 11Kv.2 Dual 2 Ohm and a NINe.2. Puts you at $240.
Then go here...
http://www.edesignaudio.com/boxbuild...tab=predefined
Order up the "Single 10" .5cF Sealed Enclosure. Another $55 plus shipping.
Now here...
http://www.edesignaudio.com/wire_pro...?productid=183
There is all of your wiring for another $45
Lastly, go here...
http://www.edesignaudio.com/wire_pro...?productid=225
That is the line output converter you will need for your amp. Another $16.
$356 plus a little shipping isn't bad at all. You can do the install yourself with basic hand tools. The only other thing you will need is some carpeting for the box, some speaker wire (you can order that from them, too) and some wiring splices.
I know it is about $100 over your budget when all is said and done, but I think you will be much happier with this than anything you could get for $300 installed.

No question ...
The best sounding, easiest-to-install bass addition for under $300 is the Infinity Basslink. I had 2 tens before I took them out and got a BassLink. Basslink hits harder and sounds crystal clear. Even the stereo install place couldn't believe how good the thing sounds in an XB. It has the amp built right in and even comes with a gain **** that I installed underneath the Zeta Armrest I put in my car. I can adjust the base without even taking my arm off the armrest.
Amazing value for the sound.

Ok i've investigated and this looks great. I can get one on ebay new for 200 shipped.
How much was the install and where did you end up placing it? Can it be hidden in the cargo area so its not easily visible and doesnt get jacked?

Install should be too much.. You can get a 8 gauge amp wire kit since are not running allot of power to it..
are you running it off your stock headunit or aftermarket??

If you go with the Infinity, just screw it onto the deck in the cargo bay and then take your XB into circuit city or best buy and pay them about $70 to wire it. That's what I did and the thing sounds awesome. Buy one of those cheap cargo bay covers through scion or ebay for about $20 and no one will know you have it in the back. I LOVE mine. The size of the thing is so deceiving because it hits INCREDIBLY hard and clear for a 10". (The woofer actually faces down, the thing that looks like a woofer on the top in these pictures is actually some kind of reverse woofer to make it move more air. It works believe me. It's also the absolute best value out there for under $300. (I paid $200 for mine on Ebay also)
