Default 6-CD radio swap

Looking to swap with someone my 6 cd in dash HU for a stock stereo with aux capability. I need my IPOD back in my xa. Straight up trade. In car and will be when we meet to see. HU works perfect and has no scratches. MINT condition!!!

If you have an '05 or earlier xA, be sure to get the cable that goes from the HU to the console area iPod connector and the cable that connects the actual iPod to that connector.

I *believe* that cable (long one) is available in '06 and '06.5 cars only.

G/L!

Thanks man, I have an 06 and sold my stereo to get the 6 disc HU and now I want my ipod capability back. Thats why I am trying to swap for the stock stereo that came with my car. I have the aux port built in factory with my model XA.

Do you know how to tell if one would have the ipod port on the stock head unit? I don't have an ipod (never will for that matter). So my stock head unit is just sitting around collecting dust. I know it works... well, it did work for at least 2 hours when I first got the box. (Obviously my first mod was to gut the stock audio).

I'll snag some pics if you want. Going to be doing some huge stereo work here in the next couple of days so I can verify if it still works or not.

Factory '06 iPod HU has round rotary *****, not "up/down" rocker/push button switches.

iPod capability is convenient and cool, but sounds like poo compared to most any CD. My factory HU (and all the factory speakers) are on a shelf in the garage waiting for the day I sell my xB.

sprOk3t, what you building?

I'm building a complete carputer. I've got everything working so far... satellite, gps, touchscreen, backup camera, wifi, obd-ii just to name a few. I wrote some custom software to sync up with my Mythbox so I can snag some tvshows as well. From cold to playing, the carputer takes about 18seconds without interaction. With the tank/batt setup I'm working on (gel cell motorcycle battery) the carputer will sleep until the battery has less than 18% life, then hibernate. Preliminary testing has shown the carputer can hold sleep for over a week on a motorcycle battery. When the carputer is set to allow for sleeping, the boot time to play is less than 5 seconds (6 on satellite). Nothing is installed just yet... but the fabrication work is almost complete.

Here's my work log in case you are interested: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=170588
