Just wanted to let you know that you inspired me. I've now hollowed out and installed lights in two of four handles. I'll do the other two tomorrow and install the handles on Saturday. The red lights should work well.

Thanks again! I'll post pics when complete.

$160 in parts? I used four of the 5" flex LED bars at $6 each. That and some time seems to be all that I need.

How does the brightness of the Cathodes vs the LED Strips compare?

I just redid my cathodes, (old ones died) and now I see this topic. Grr...

Great write up and pictures~ I might have to do this if its brighter.

Cathodes, LEDs, LED strips, switches. Spool of wire, connectors, heat shrink tubing, Chinese Fingertrap-style wiring covers, circuit tester, add-a-fuses, crimper, wire strippers, zipties, etc, etc. Bought everything in bulk.

I know how that feels . . . I was torn between blue and white. I went with Blue, even though its overplayed.

hey this is a question for those that ordered from oznium. Did you guys get two small circular switches with your LED strips. The reason for this question is because i ordered for 4.7 inch led strips plus 2 of their super bright LEDs. Well I got the four strips, 2 switches, and a sticker but no superbright LEDs. I am wondering if everyone got the useless little switches or if my order is completely messed up. thanks

follow up to my last post:

Even though Oznium did screw up my order I would recommend them to everyone. I emailed them and within 5 minutes I had an email back from them apologizing and saying the rest of my order is being shipped. I will post pics after I install but right now i am fighting the taillights to get the covers off for paint.

Oznium is great, they are very helpfull and have great customer service. But I also live close enough to visit as well.
I also just painted my tail lights, I used butter knives to get the tail lights apart. worked great and didnt break or chip or anything. Looks 100 times better.

I just did mine tonite. they fit in there real snug, but you can use a small screwdriver and pop one end out and change to another color.
