Default Additional lighting for Killerglass tubes, what did you use?

I just installed a Killerglass tube and am very satisfied with the design and quality, but am disappointed in the low brightness of the LED lighting. It could be that I have red coolant and a blue LED (I am switching to blue Engine Ice coolant this week) but I can barely see any glow, even at night. Thye rest of my bay is lit with cold cathodes, and that may make it appear even dimmer.

What do you use to supplement the lighting? I have the new style LED from killerglass that comes mounted on a tie-wrap and installed under the rear bottom portion of the tube, pointed up into the tube. it does appear some of the light is being reflected off of the outside of the tube instead of transmitting through it. Killerglass is asking $25 an additional LED, and not being real happy with the first one, I'd like to use an alternate that's a bit brighter. Oznium's listing 1W LED's for $20.

Also, there is an air bubble in the tube with the engine off. Can I get rid of this or does the top of the tube sit above the fill line?

i buy all my LEDs from a guy off ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=005
you can get them in any color.
the lights are realy bright and the shipping is supper fast, even thow hes in hong kong.
ive gotten tons of LEDs from this guy and ive never had any problems.
my only worning is make sure you buy the "pre wired" lights
nothings wrong with the other lights, its just less of a hastel to get them pre wired.

Well the bubble has gotten smaller and goes away completely with the engine running, I'll try and siphon it out when I do a coolant swap. I did end up putting an Oznium blue cold cathode under the front end of the glass, even that isn't transmitting through the red coolant. I think it's just physics working against me, I'll see what happens after the swap.

Like I said, red absorbs blue wavelengths of light, so not much is going to transmit through. I think when I get blue liquid it will be orders of magnitude brighter. Like he said, red light transmits freely through red filters so blue liquid should transmit blue light. I'll post pics, the place I'm getting it from screwed up the order so now I have to wait more.

killerglass is some bad ___ stuff, I love that I can see how much is in there, but another led or several wouldn't hurt
