I'm using one that is called "light musk squash". It's overpriced. It's Japanese. And it doesn't smell like musk or squash at all...but it does smell really good. It's the bottle kind with the liquid in it.
I like the liquid kind. If somebody farts or something in your car, you can shake it upside down a little bit and let a few drops fall on the floor mats...Car smells good again.
Another cheap way to get the "Japanese" smell---Put an old pair of tennis shoes on the floor of your car and run the heat on high for about 10 minutes...Now you have "natto" car smell. (if you don't know what I mean, find someone Japanese and ask them about natto **pronounced- NOT-TOE**).

I used to want everything Japanese for my car, but I don't think it's cool when people worship Japanese too much. It's cool to enjoy stuff, and admire stuff, but sometimes you find that the reality of people is that they are just that... people.

Sometimes you see something that is kind of disheartening, like this:

This is a real picture (not one of my many photochops)...and sadly, it's a pretty recent picture.
Not to say that Japanese are evil or bad at all, but sometimes I have met people who have this image of Japan as this magical place where everybody is nice and everything that comes from there is great and they want all Japanese stuff.
Lets just keep it real. Thats all.

I bought one of those trees in a strawberry one time and took it all the way out of the package. It just so happens it was mid-summer and I cam eout to my car, opened it, and felt like I was inhaling 140° solid strawberries. I literally could not breathe. Yes, there is such thing as too strong.

I use "febreze Air Effects - Summer & Splash (watermelon, cantaloupe smell)." It doesn't mask oder, it "eliminates odors and freshens." Smell doesn't last long but it gets rid of the "odor causing bacteria." Don't leave it in your car during hot days.

I'm surprised I haven't seen any group buys or bulk discounts on the CS X3 Squash air freshners. I could have and should have bought a few when I was in Cali a couple of weeks ago. It was only $9 cash, no tax. Oh well, another reason to go back to Cali

I rocked an air freshener that looked like sushi for a while. Luckily it didn't smell like sushi.
