Just got an xA and wondering if any of the experienced security system readers knew of any systems that auto-unlocks the car ala top-end Mercedes/BMWs as you approach within a set distance from the car? (that's w/o touching the remote or key at all - just carry a fob around in your pocket)

Other than that, did I miss any long FAQ/TIP (sticky) threads on this or alarms in general? Didn't see any searching. (If there aren't none, maybe make something sticky?)

Last q's: good places to buy alarm systems online? or in So. Cal? How tough is it to install one yourself w/o any prior experience installing (just know how to read & use tools). Easy enough to buy & do myself? or save the hassle and have one installed?
