Thanks man, i think it looks better than the SAVV 5" monitor I was planning to get. What got me the most is that the monitor is 6" and that its in the center. unlike most of what I've seen before...usually they were either 2.5-5inch(not widescreen either) and almost all of them were off center.

yeah cause most of the 7inch monitors that I actually saw was too grainie(sp?) the 6inch once actually looks better. I don't know maybe cause I couldn't wait till they made a better looking 7inchers.

Yeah I love the CDA-9835 but I'm still waiting to see how the glide touch from the CDA-9855 will be then I might switch to that. the 5210 is a nice unit but a little big for what I was going for(mainly cause of the price too)

Yeah, It wasn't cheap ... but I have been nothing but happy with it. My whole audio system is Alpine. So I had to stick with the Alpine DVD Player. When is the 9855 comming out?

I've seen some of the new alpine come out already but as far as the 9855 I think it'll be mid march. can't wait to test that glide touch!

Can you tell me where you got the rearview.

I happen to really like the idea...I'm still throwing it around. I'm already picky as it is when it comes to clarity...so I'm only going by word of mouth. Plus the photos taken of the rearview aren't half bad.

I so badly want the double din Kenwood...but now everyone and their mom has one. I know there are other double din units out there...but no as nice as the Kenwood...I've heard good things about the Eclipse too.

I debated on the fold out too...but...neway...another day.

Kid,
I have the same setup except I'm running the Alpine CDA-9847, but I have the 1/2din DVDplayer from Myron Davis. looks good, got the install kit from Crutchfield.. Fits well in the tC..
Like you, I wanted the Double din, but couldn't justify the cost.
now gotta start working on the trunk (all Alpine)
