i have plexiglass over mine too...i did all mine by myself it was actually REALLY easy...cost me like 13 bucks total...anyways my fan is an LED fan that u buy for computers but i just spliced the wires and wired it up...pics dont do it justice it looks off the chain at night with all the lights on. mine has been in there for about two months now and i still havent had any heat probs...plus it was the middle of the summer and it still didnt get too hot...i just used a box cutter to cut the hole out and then i just put the plexiglass under the hole its not like the plexiglass is a perfect fit or anything the plexiglasss is alot bigger than the hole. Also the spare tire is still there i didnt have to remove anything just cut some of the foam down so the amp would fit and so the plexiglass lays flat

Why would the fans be on if the radio was off ?
I meant when the radio is down so you can actually hear....how loud is the fan?

What are the dimensions (width/length/depth) of the styrofoam storage area in the hatch? I'm still waiting on my tC and was thinking of mounting my amps in there on some MDF because it is already recessed into the hatch.

You can hear the fans when the car is off and you turn on the radio (key in the on position) but once you start the car, you can't hear them at all. Even with the volume all the way down.
