oh god no anything but fosgate. i hate fosgate with a passion. too exspensive for me 1500 for a 1500rms amp no no. not really worth it if u ask me u can get better amps with the same wattage for a better price. is it the punch or power series if its the punch then they are no good.

heres a better idea look up hifonics they have pretty reliable amps that are cheap. even cheaper than my mono amp. u can buy some memphis amps one ebay cheap. just look on ebay for all of the names we gave u then come back with what u liked and we will match u up with a good amp and/or sub.

Sorry dude, but you're wrong...normally I respect opinions but Fosgate has gone waaaaaay downhill over the last 2 years or so. The only thing of theirs I'd maybe consider buying would be something off their power series (but then I'd need a money tree in my back yard). The P3 you mentioned is a mediocre sub, the Alpine type R is cheaper and better if you want something that's in the same ballpark. And as far as the amps...you might as well go buy lightning audio...almost the exact same stuff for much cheaper. Rockford is one of those companies I mentioned who use their name to justify their prices and don't put out a product that does that name justice.

Oh, and IF she were to get the P3, she'd be better off with the 600.1bd as an amp...the 3002 is a 2-channel and therefor you wouldn't get all the output with a dual 4-ohm woofer. 2-ch amps give their max output bridged (usually at 4 ohms), which you could only do if you ran the P3 in series which = 8ohm. If you ran it bridged at 2 ohms (sub in parallel) the amp would constantly be going into protection. For the record, I have used RF products a few years back and they were excellent but everything I've seen nowadays has been garbage for the price they ask.

JL audio does make some fine products and have consistantly done so for years but they are still inflated price-wise because people will pay for the name...and they have a very strict policy about internet sales.

501: That is the new XXX? that is absolutely ridiculous...I couldn't imagine how big an enclosure for that thing would be!

Amen To That!!!

Yeah, I like the new XXX. I'm trying to do eight 10's in my xB with two AutoTek 4000 high current amps. I know that it's gonna cost but I know that it'll not only astound people but it'll sound good as hell. Anyways, I also think that the bigger names are over priced because of the name. I'll take an old school punch 1000 over a new one any day because back in their early days, Rockford was more about quality than making money.

Yeah, I like loud music, REALLY LOUD! I mean, me and two of my friends started a car and truck club called the Block Beaters and that's what we're about. If you go to NOPI in ATL, Ludacris Car Show, Funkmaster Flex Car Show, and the DUB show next year you'll see us there. We have some nice rides but we're all about loud music and sweet setups. We have a couple secret "weapons" that we'll be showing at those shows. We're not trying to break any world records because all of our cars are daily drivers but we do know how to roll in style. Right now, we're based out of Clarksville, Tn but we plan on branching off into other parts of the US because we're all in the military. So keep an eye out. Anyways, yeah, eight 10's is what my audio advisor told me to go with so that's what my plan is. I like the look and quality that you get with RE so that's what I'm going with. I do like soundstream though. I've been a fan of them for some years but I haven't really looked at them lately. I've been so focused on AutoTek and RE that I haven't looked in too many places. I'll check them out though, thanks for the reminder.

yeah, I know a guy who can build those really cheap. He can get them to idle at 15.8, and put out about 300 amps and he'll charge around 300.00 for it!

hey i got a guy designing them alt for scion xb right now he said it will put out 200 amps. i dont know how much he is goin to charge e though. 200 amps is enough for me. ill add a mid/high amp after that causei know that 1500 rms is goin to suck my alt like a vampire.

I had one built by the same guy that can do 300 amp one. He built mine that's the same size of the stock one and it puts out 180-200 amps. He charged me 200 for the alt and 50 to put it in. I think that was a great deal for around 200 amps.

Yeah, it's the current one I have installed now. I just got it built right before I left home to come back to Iraq. Since I'm running two 4000d high current amps, I might get another put in.
