I was kinda wondering the same thing since I have my amp in the storage area too. My amp does get very warm but I can still hold it and it's nowhere near hot enough to melt anything and it has a built in shut off if it gets too hot and I've never had that happen. I ran my system hard for almost a full hour and I checked the amp afterwards and it was quite warm but fine.

What kind of fans did you get, pc fans? Also, I was thinking about putting a bunch of smaller holes(not big enought to weaken structure) in the sizes of the foam to help bring in extra cooler air from the spare tire area, would this work?

no fans or anything here. Will update if I have any heat issues.

I imagine if it gets really hot, I could just leave the lid off unless i need to put something else in the car... That should be more than enough air flow.

I still have to wrap the boxes. I wasn't planning on using these as the finished boxes, but they sound good enough that I just might.

Hmmm...

Can this be done without bending brackets?
Also, I just got 2 SQ10s and I was wondering what all I needed to build it.
Its my first box.
And I'm making 2.

Maybe so If you only using 10's. I would check the proper cu ft needed for those particular subs and build your two boxes accordingly. You'll have to mount the amp in the back more than likely if your putting a sub under each seat.

Yeah was definitely planning on putting the amp in the back.
The ideal for the SQ10 is .5cF.
That would mean that jared_IRL's box would be perfect for these.
I just don't know if I wanna bend anything.
I know I have to take out the cover and the stuff from under the driver seat, is that what everyone is referring to as bending?
And if I do bend it, does it affect anything?

correct, it is the bending of the bracket that holds down the jack under the drivers seat.

Nope is pretty sturdy enough metal to bend right back if needed to.

So what do I do with all the stuff under that black cover under the driver seat?

Take it all out and I put it in the cubby in the back, which you might have a problem w. that since you need a place to mount the amp at.
After the jack and jack cover have been taken out just bend the jack bracket under the seat either down or back out of the way.

Wait, what's under there?
And I might mount the amp in the window.

Here is the best pic I could find of the brackets after you pull out the jack and jack cover.

Those will need to be pushed down or pushed back out of the way so the box will fit.

Or you could just mount your jack in the window......now that would be unique!

HAHA!
Thanks for the picture.
Is that the red things?
And do I have to do anything on the passenger side?

yep its the red things, but they are actual color matched to your xB and no there isn't anything under the passenger seat you have to worry about.
