Default Anyone recommend a great air fresher!

hey everyone, i smoke in my car and so do all my friends. I always open the window and never once used the ashtray. This past wknd, someone who doesnt smoke said my car reaks of ciggarettes and it must be in the seats. Hmm, i dont' smell it; however i got one of those stupid gel air freshers (vanilla) and i don't even know it's there. Can anyone recommend ond. I heard giga air was great; but i don't wanna spend 15$ on a air fresher if it doesnt work. Or possibly febreze the seats. Hit me up

febreeze is probably the best bet to get the smell out. i smoke in my car too and the only way to get the smell out is too vacuum and clean the interior, febreeze the seats, and then slap an air freshener on the rear view mirror. i like the green apple kind.

Agreed...smoking bad for you but will not lecture. I like peppermint oil on cotton ***** stuck in the ac vents. Smells good, but also helps you stay awake.

my friend actually has this little disk that looks like a urinal cake and it absorbs any and every smell in his car. it doesn't smell good or bad, just neutral. he's a chef and his car used to always STINK of whatever he was working with that day. i'll ask him what it's called. i know it's not specifically for cars but it works awesome.

air spencer squash x2, febreeze for the smoke, but I don't really know what could get the smoke smell out.

I used to smoke, and I can smell a smoker half a block away, even when they are not smoking. something it does to your sense of smell, you reek, but you are so accustomed to it, that you just don't notice.

Ahh, the world is yours to toss your butts at.

Clean up after yourself. Take the butts to a trashcan and not the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Yeah, what the hell. The planet is for your garbage. Being adult enough to find a trashcan for your garbage, I mean damn, THAT'S HARD!

That is totally untrue.

The CDC has stated that cigarette butts contains numerous chemicals which are considered health hazards.

For the past 8 years, cigarette butts have been the leading item found during the (CMC's) International Coastal Cleanup Project, accounting for nearly one in every five items collected.

I have no major problems with smokers (after all, it is a legal product) and think everyone should have the right to smoke while taking responsibility for their actions.
But out and out lies, such as what I quoted you as saying, must be countered.

Ten things you should know about cigarette butt litter

1. Cigarette butt litter is the world’s greatest environmental litter problem

2. Globally, approximately 4.3 trillion cigarette butts are littered every year. Smokers in the USA account for over 250 billion cigarette butts, in the UK 200 tonnes of butts are discarded, and Australian smokers litter over 7 billion cigarette butts annually. In Western countries cigarette butt litter accounts for around 50% of all litter.

3. Almost 1 in 3 cigarette butts end up as litter.

4. Cigarette butt litter dramatically increases where indoor smoking bans are implemented.

5. In Australia, NSW smokers throw away enough butts to fill 7 Olympic swimming pools. Up to 350,000 butts end up in Port Phillip Bay, Victoria and waterways every day

6. It can take up to 12 years for a cigarette butt to break down

7. Cigarette butts can leach chemicals such as cadmium, lead and arsenic into our marine environment within an hour of contact with water

8. Cigarette butts have been found in the stomachs of fish, whales, birds and other marine animals which leads to ingestion of hazardous chemicals and digestive blockages

9. Smokers in many countries can be fined for flicking a lit cigarette

10. And the final and most important thing to know about cigarette butt litter is: Only smokers can stop cigarette butt litter. We need to educate them that butts are litter, and provide a positive alternative to littering.

Back on Topic....

Get one of these...

IonFeel LED Ionized Deodorizer - Black
SKU: 001134799877829
$19.99 - MSRP

And one of these...

FRSC Air Freshener - Silver/Squash
SKU: 001134799877847
$8.99 - MSRP

Both are available from the Scion Optomize accessories program. They should be stocked at your local Scion dealership. I smoke in my car and use both to neutralize the smell. My ex-girlfriend's parents didnt know I smoked for 6 years and they are both doctors. I think I know how to kill the cigarette smell...
