Are you guys taking out the spare to mount the amp? Also, do they come in only orange or can you get them in yellow?

I had AudioFormz do the paint work ......... This is far from complete, having it all changed and adding more neons ....... The only wire you can see is in the back of the sub, the shop did not want to tap a hole because of an air issue and sealing it might be tough to make it airtight, if that makes sense ...... Wait until you see the tailgate .......... Also the video system is complete and it does in fact produce HD, yes HD brother .........

Hang tight for pics in the next few weeks ....

I was accepted for Scion VIP Englishtown but had to cancel, many parts have yet to arrive and I have no headlights, fog lights and side markers - out having them smoked ....

    Almost done !

Yes, the spare needs to come out if mounting the AMP Rack, the SUB Rack is on the right ....... Call Ronnie @ AudioFormz, he is a great person to deal with ..... Trust me when I say you can't find a better company with the quality service as with this company ......

You pretty much can have it any color you like ........ They will paint them for you but I am not sure they have done any of the Yellow yet, but talk to him and I am sure he can handle this for you .......

The audioformz box are "tiny" because the car is "tiny" and they are for people who dont want to give up all the room in the back. As for hideously overpriced, you'd have to see how they were made in person. How much is your "custom box" going to cost? Will it be as well made as the audioformz box? As practical?

The spare comes out for the amp rack, so I didn't use the amp rack and kept the spare. The box comes unpainted or you can have them paint it any color you wish. They come very nicely gel-coated and smooth and I just had to prime mine and paint it.

They are tiny becasue they are supposed to fit snug in the factory location ... These cases are made extremly well and fit perfect! If you think aboout for the price it would cost to get a custom fiberglass boxed fabed and for the time you can't drive your car ... These cases are not that expensive ... and as the old saying goes ... "You get what you pay for!"

Also, let me add this ..... when my enclosures arrived one of them must have been dropped by UPS and had a nice chip missing ... I called Ronnie and he replaced it within a few days because my XB was in the shop ..... Customer service could not be better ......

I love my AudioFormz Enclosures and am very glad to have made that choice ....... Pics soon to be posted !

Well considering that I will be making it it should run about 35.00 , 3/4 mdf , it will be a flase floor above the spare and will have amp storage in the stock cubby location and the sub will be hanging down by the spare firing up into the wide thin box . the box will be approx 1.5 or 2 inches higher than stock cargo area but . will be able to load anything on top and will easily be able to get the 1.5 cubic feet i need for the sub i will be running , it'll be for a 12 and then i will be running my 10's under the front seats. I'm not ******* their quality but if theyre soo mass produced the price should be lower by now , is all. oh and imo their box isnt saving much cargo room at all if something goes and pokes / sits on / breaks your sub . just my opinion though.

That sounds good and all but be sure to post up some pics of this creation. As for "mass produced", do you know of many laid-up fiberglass products that are mass produced? Would you build me a set-up like you describe for $35? I'll take 5! Let's say someone wasn't quite as industrious as you. Wouldn't the Audioformz box be good for them? Plus it just looks pretty.

I believe your enclosure shipped today! I didn't get a chance to get a close look at it because my guys got it packaged before I could take a look but I did see it while it was being carried outside in the sun and all i can say is "WOW" That yellow is bright! I know your box can't be missed! Let me know if you have any questions when you get it installed and send some pics!

    Keep Jammin,

    Hey Hotbox,

Hideously overpriced?? You obviously never worked with fiberglass before! But just in case you have, I challenge you to try to build a similiar enclosure for less!! Come by my shop and I'll let ya build one yourself! Afterwards, I'm sure you will come to appreciate all that is involved in fiberglass manufacturing! If I could sell them for less, I would and others would too! I have our old style enclosures on ebay for $200 shipped!

Those that work with glass and fabrication say the opposite...How do you sell them so cheap? But I do still get this comment from time to time and that is why I'm going to have a Fiberglass 101 tutorial on our new site that will explain our manufacturing process and have some detailed step by step pics!

This enclosure is a VSSE (vehicle specific subwoofer enclosure). It's designed to fit in the storage area. The airspace available in this area is perfect for almost all 10" subs on the market today so this is why we built it for a 10" sub. On the other hand, this airspace is not ideal for most 12" subs and therefore peformance can and will suffer. So this is why the box is "tiny". Bigger is not always better...least not in this case

But we can build you a "larger" custom fiberglass enclosure like the one below but it will cost ya more than $35!

Don't want to start a war of words here....been there, done that already Just had to vent a little...thanks for the support guys!
