Default Auto Dimming Mirror scion XB

Im looking for a Auto Dimming Mirror that will fit the XB. Theres one for the XA but i dunoo if its going to fit. I like the map lights on the mirror since our cars dont have a light in the front it would be a great add on. Your input would be great!
Thanks

I think you could get any mirror, take the old one off, run wires to it, and put it up there

Hrm. It looks like the xA mirror mounts on the windshield whereas the xB has it mounted by the headliner...

I want that mirror too... so try it. ;)

Default GIVE ME LIGHT !!!

I really wish that SCION could have added more light to the xB.
Please, if anyone knows a simple solution to light up the front, come through.

I think the Auto-mirror from the Corolla mounts to the roof of the car instead of the windshield.

Nice thought about the maplight feature

I am getting this done to my xB this Wednesday. It takes one from the Highlander to work in the xB, and you have to mount it to the window. The window in the xB and the Highlander have the same curve to it, so the mount works for the xB. This was told to me by my main mod man Gary, from King Toyota. It's going to cost about $300, installed. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

cathodes are pretty bright, if you have them under the front of the seat and the dash, it should work.

That looks really good, the pic with cathodes, but I am a little bit more private. I would not want it that bright ALL the time. Any other ideas for light when "I" want it, and dark when I need it to be.

Default UPDATE on MIRROR

Got the Highlander Chromatic Mirror put in today. It has the temp and compass, and auto dims. Looks nice, and sits well on the window. Took about two hours to put in, and most of that time was to allow for the glue to dry on the part that adheres to the window. The wires go down the drivers side pillar.

Neat!
Here is what it looks like.

Auto Dim is short for Automatic Dimming, as in the mirror dims when lights hit it. You know, when you are driving at night, and lights from the huge SUV (or those HIDS from the HONDA), are blinding you, it dims. It sort of turns a green color. It's cool to see.
No lights are on it. Sad to say. But, the compass and temp display, plus the auto dimming feature, make it all worth while.

I see. That would be nice. And your still able to see everything? I was reading that you have put 3M door guards? Have you posted any pics showing how those look? The sides of the Box are such a Big area for ..... to ding with their pcs. they drive and don`t care about. I have a couple of marks already.

Yes, I can see everything fine. In fact, better, since it's not all bright.

I have posted some pics with the 3M door guards. They are black strips, that I got at the dealer. From what I have been told, you can only get them at the dealer. They have saved my doors a lot.

Just click on the link to see BOXCAR WILLIE photos. You should see one there.

I still have not seen the Black strips. I guess they are invisible black.

Look on the EDGE of my doors, going down the doors...See that black strip? That is the 3M stuff.

Maybe in the picture it's hard to tell. But that is what that black area is. It's not just the joint between the doors.

Oh I see, but isnt that more for YOU, so you dont slam your door into anything and get dammage?
I was at PEP and I saw these NEW style door gaurds, that go across the door in the middle of it. Not down the edge like you have. I thought they might be something like those, and I wanted to see someone with them on.
