Default AUX jack

I need some help - I have hooked up my Satellite radio through the AUX jack but I have a lot of engine interference (especially at higher RPMS). What can I do to minimize the interference? Is it the cord?

I have the same problem. I did some searching and I am goin to try installing a ground loop thing from radioshack. I also plan on grounding the engine bay as described in the tech pages.

If anyone has info on the ground loop install such as where did you put it, does it need to be hooked to a power source??? ect....

A ground loop isolator is pretty good too. No, it doesn't need any power. It just plugs into you rca's. That's it. It's as simple as that. One end plugs into the hu, the other plugs into the .......whatever. Simple!
Aluminum or Tin foil works too. It's cheaper!

While aluminum or tin foil won't eliminate ground loops, it will reduce interference significantly at the point that the foil is located. That's basically what shielding the wire is. You can also try using shielded wires.

I actually even tried to re-ground the deck with no sucess. I ended up replacing the radio with an Eclipse unit and now have no noise issues. I wish Toyota would fix that aux noise issue. Mark
