Default Should be the same...

Should be the same as the AVN2454 and it has rca inputs for audio and video.

But the question is... where to hide the Xbox for a clean look. Wish they made the xbox thinner like a laptop.

That way it will slid under the passanger seat.

True,,,,,,,, I did research on this a while ago. But I just don't have the doe saved up yet! Sad I know............ But had other stuff to get first........ LIKE THE CAR!
But it will be in my ride in about 4 or 6 months! For road trips n stuff
and for me of course! Once the 360 comes out, I"m putting my xbox in the car! So

That means I have to purchase the 360 first, then the avn 5435, then the install......... I'll probably get the 5495 by then though unless its on sale (5435 under a thoushand)

Yeah, plug into the RCA inputs and turn to AUX... I have the xbox installed... but I had to put in behide the passanger seat since its too tall I don't think it can clear under the seat. I don't want to fuXXup my xbox.

Call me crazy, but is it just me or does the screen ont he 5435 look low resolution, and contrast lines are visable all over the user interface? Atleast thats what it looks like on eclipse' website when lookign at the unit. Can anyone confirm this ? or provide pics of that headunit in action? hate to see such a expensive unit have a low grade LCD... Or just a very bland interface graphic.

yes, i can confirm that... i use to own the AVX 2494 and the resolution was awesome... had to trade it in for the avn 5435 for the nav.

the resolution is a little pixilated but its not bad..im still happy with the AVN overall

I was considering that unit but passed, with Eclipse, I would really expect the best of the best, but the D1 has a much cleaner interface and nicer looking screen =\
I know the unit soudn wise is solid, well, I'm sure anyways as thats what I'd expect from Eclipse but still, for being a $1700 headunit retail, you'd expect a nicer interface and screen resolution, just to keep the name-sake alive and well with never being less than perfect.

That and DVD playback doesnt interest me, I had it once and never used it really, funt o brag about but never truly practical.

How much? Cheapest ic ould get was $957, but all lcd's of this type are TFT, its just a matter of the pixel count, which ont he eclipse is 280,800, about 50,000 less pixels than the kenwood or Pioneer. But they do have superior sound

I'm still personally torn between them both., but good luck on your choice! Enjoy whichever you get, and let us know hwo the nav works!

so you can navi and watch DVD at the same time then if you have the XBOX instaled... just watch the DVD through the AUX.

can anybody give me a link of the things that i need as far as the cables that i need to make this happen?? Think of putting the XBox In the Glove Compartment.

Navigation on the 5435 rocks btw
