Bazooka powered subwoofer tube, how is it should i get it
Today I got my scion back after waiting two months for it to be fixed. I drove it home and was rather bored by the lack of bass. since it is an xb and one of te reasons i bought it was to haul things i need a sub that is removable.
I went to the local custom car shop and asked their suggestion. the salesman immediatly directed me to the only sub in the store a powered bazooka amp . i went to circuit city and best buy wo both agreed that a powered bazooka tube would save me money and be removable without sacrificing quality
How is the sub really would you reccimend it to me as a low budget college stdent.
Thanks

i plan on getting it if i ever push myself to ever do any audio work. its obviously the right choice for you since youre hauling things around and what not. ive heard good things about them... and ive heard the hardcore bass guys say they suck too.
but i think youll be satisfied.

I recently installed an 8" subwoofer that I bought from Overstock.com . It was 79.00 including shipping. The installation was relatively simple and the unit does exactly what I wanted. Enough extra bass that it reallt perks up the whole music experience. And, as you stated, it comes out in less than 1 minute if you need the space.

I bought the 8 inch tube at circuit city for $105.00 with the tax, factory wiring harness was $49.00. Plug-n-Play, took about 1.5 hours to install. Sounds very good, adds the low tones to the factory 6 speaker set-up. With the gain WAY up, I noticed some woofer "flap" when the sub hits a bass drum kick, will lover the gain to prevent this. give it a B- overall. But for an 8 inch sub/amp combo, very nice easy package.

There's many different type out there, and a few different ways to hook them up (speaker level, line level using LOC's or a SubPlug if using the stock deck).
This is mine, using a Subplug to connect to the factory deck.
I can take it out in about a minute. Disconnect the RCA's and the all-in-one plug and the entire panel comes out.
Some powered subs even have both types of inputs, so an LOC (or Subplug) isn't even ncessary, but would probably sound better.

Aight. Well I got my harness n was comparing it to the one that was poster on here awhile back n it looked like I got the wrong one. Turns out that instead of it being an inline setup like what I described above on my 06 headunit there is a seperate connector just for the tube, which is pretty kool. Now all I need to do is install it n get myself the correct sized tube(bought the bigger one, was bigger then I thought lol)
