<old enough but doesn't drink... and i am no expert either.. i am always learning/trying something new... i only have opinions based on what i like or have heard...

i forgot to add the eclipse 12"alum in a 1.25 sealed box, and only in a 1.25 sealed box... had the perfect combo of sound... some will argue the cone discolors the sound, but it sounded great in a 1.25 with 10 inches between the closest parallel wall... (you couldn't hear ANY seperation of bass coming from the rear just a huge amount up front on the dash...

The soloX was not used in the SQ portion of the competition, they forgot to mention that on their site.

Ok theres no doubt that the solo x is a really hard pounding heart thumping sub we put to 15 inch into my friends crv at our shop at the mall and it was knocking stuff off the wall at sears and Elder bearman try explaining that to the mall rentacops. Anyway the shop I work for has just got 4 brand new jl audio w1s. Jl isnt even shown these to the public yet they will be showing them at that show in vegas next week. Along with the zr components Jl is set to release 50 new items next week so its going to be a very good year for JL. OH AND THE LOUDIST SUB HAS TO BE THE 13.5 w7

i would def. have to agree.....focal is badass....eclipse sounds great as well....JL, IMO, is best overall value and bang for your buck......kickers are hella loud but haven't heard too many sound really good......

Default Best Sounding Bass

0605 wrote "what is the best sounding bass" Man I have never seen a more loaded question. We all have an idea of we think is the best sounding bass. I think that you need to define what you are looking for. If you are doing an SPL car then you will be in a different class of wooffer than an SQ car. If you want street loud that is different too. It hard to help without more information.

I agree there. If you want JL quality bass go with these new guys REaudio. My gosh, I just recieved mine in the mail a few days back, built a small sealed box and the 12" sub sounds just like a w6v2, but for a fraction of the cost. I paid 350 for the sub, 6.5" components which also kick ___, and shipping. I believe the sub was 185 and the components were 145. A USACi buddy of mine said the quality is there. I just have to tweak it and display and mount all the equipment properly and I'm in SQ for USACi :D

www.reaudio.com
or email: marshall@visionaryaudio.com
I think they run about 330 shipped for the 12` , sound as good as the w7, hit a bit harder (IMO!!).
Dont quote me on the price because ive been mixing numbers all day, they will run over 300 tho.
