Cardomain's running a free install kit with purchase of a head unit. They have these kits (which matches the one on here) for the scion xa/xb.

uhm ok.....I'm not asking what crutchfield has. I'm asking whether or not the Scosche kit above works or not for the tC

 

It doesn't say it on the page... if it's the same one that was floating around that site last fall (which the part # looks the same to me) then no, it's not. Is it really worth the $4 you'll save to get it and have to ship it back?

 

To answer your question truthfully, no it wont work for the tC. The xA and xB both carry the same size kit but the tC holds 1 1/2 more in the storage space. If you buy the Scosche kit you will not be happy because of that. My advice is to go with the Crutchfield aftermarket unit because they have been the only ones to come out with a tC version so far. Spend the extra money. Dont skimp out just to save some cash.

some of the first generation 99-8209 were made only for the xa/xb... any newer one will work... just let them know that you need it for the tc...

Funny, I contacted Cardomain's tech support and Sean Cahill, Sr. Product Support Specialist, confirmed that the Scosche SCN2056 kit will work for the tC....
