you can extend the wire between your power source to the power inverter. never extend the wire between the cathode and the inverter, i've learned my lesson in the past.
good luck.
i'll move this to ICE so you can get more responses.

I got the extensions for putting the lights under the backseat and it was still barely long enough, actually just a little too short; i broke a light trying to make the wire work. But with the extension cords the lights weren't any more dim. However when i had the extension and also spliced a little more wire in so i wouldn't break another light, it was noticebly dimmer. So if i were to do it again, I would definitely just put 2 per side so the transformer can be closer

Don't splice the wires. Just run a single thode off each trans if you have to (easier to just double up in some areas and gain twice the light output). The length of the wire changes the resistance just enough to make the output dimmer.

all of what i have put in my box (lights) was done by me.
i enjoy the work. sometimes it might be a hassle trying to find a location or just figuring out how to run the wires through someplace. all in all i have fun listening to music drinking and installing my lights.
