So, maybe you installers can tell me which alarm you think is the stronger:

Viper (and its various subsidiaries)
Compustar

I'm looking for a strong system with good ability to remote start a manual xA. Thoughts?

Well i have installed many Dei products (viper, phython) and i own them myself for both my vehicles, so iam partial to this brand. As for the compustar, ive never installed or used, i have heard lots of good and lots of bad about it. One of my good freinds that i work with, use to teach at Metra's II(installer institute) and they installed the compustars with the students in there own vehicles, and he absolutley hates compustar. I couldnt give you any real specifics on way he dosent like them, but if he says dont install that product i wouldnt(o yeah he is also a Master installer, which there are less than 100 in the country certified and a certified alarm specialist). But listen to some other feedback on these 2 alarms, before you decide. Good luck...

Hey like i said no personal experience with them, but i heard they have great range, which is one thing im lacking with my 4 yr old viper system. But im to cheap to get another one and would rather spend the money on other mods. Good luck thou.
