Default Changing the cd player display color

I bought a 2006 xB last week, and the one thing I am having a problem figuring out is how to change the color display. In the interactive cd/owners manual there is a 'color' button, but on mine it is the SSP button. Any suggestions????

you probably have the regular cd player.. you can
only change the color on the upgraded 6 disc cd changer.
because thats the same way mine is

If you really want to change the color of the stock, non-upgraded radio, you can always change out the 30-some-odd LEDs to whatever color combo you want. This can also be done to change the HVAC controls, clock, guage pod, etc..

There's no 6 disc in the 06 xB. its all about the iPod! Hehe. Yeah there's no color change on the regular radio. If you look on the bottom lefthand corner on the screen of the regular radio, you can see that it says iPod but you have to look really hard. Strange actually. Someone on here changed the color of the screen. I'm sure you could find it in the TECH section.

Yea, I've changed the screen color on a few different radios. It's pretty simple, I use a bright 3mm LED and a resistor for the screen.

Lol, yea that was me. I had a vendor booth set up for my Mobile Video Company, and I was also doing LED Gauge conversions there.

I don't think he wants to change the bulbs, just the color of the display. If you don't have the iPod radio then i don't know if you can change it...

I know what he's asking, but since he doesn't have the factory color changing radio, it doesn't mean he is stuck with a color he doesn't want for the screen

I want to do this so bad for my stock Xb radio , I was thinking all white with a touch of blue for the *** ring, eject button , and maybe something else , but I wish there was a walkthrough to do it oneself , its a bit pricey these days to get it done , its a bit tedious the work from what ive read.

You mean something like this: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...827291#1827291
That entire thread should be useful to you.
