Converting Cubby Door for Stereo
I have searched around and aside from Rose of Houston's ad selling the conversion premade has anyone done this personally or have any suggestions about doing it. I want to eliminate the door and surface mount a unit as opposed to hiding it behind the flip down door. I can't decide if I should convert the existing door or replace it with a piece of ABS. If I replace it how do I compensate for the flat bottom and curved top? Also what do you use to fasten it to the console? Thanks in advance for any help and or info.

why not just hide it, i think that would look better by making it seem as though you don't have a stereo although your music will be playing. well, that's what i plan on doing, once i get this damn check.

The problem is that is is a flip out screen and if I put it inside the cubby the screen will not have enough roon to tilt back for better viewing. That is why I need to flush mount it in the door instead of hiding it behind the door
