Cup holder illumination Tip...
If your going to do your own cup holder LED thing on an xA, look up under the cup console e-brake thing and there are 2 plugs a blue connector and a white one. pull the blue connector out and with the clip part of the plug facing up you will see 4 pins. The two pins on the left side of the connector are bottom left - Ground, and the upper left - Positive. Those work off of the dash lights and are controlled by the dimmer switch.
Autozone sell a 3 pack or color choice LEDs for $9.99 and they have the resistors built in. Easy as heck to wire up using the above method and they will dim too. All three of my cup holders now glow a nice bright warm red.

That is awesome! Thanks for the tip. I wasn't going to do the cup holder illumination for two reasons:
1. I'm 38 and my wife would laugh at me.
2. It's WAY too much money through the dealership.
But if I can do it for only $10, let her laugh! That'll be cool.

Autozone has a 3 piece red kit with resistors and led gromet and a blue kit and a purple kit and a HID white kit and a 7-multicolor kit.
Im thinking of changing my red to the multicolor leds its the same price $9.99 and does 7 different colors it cycles them by its self. But all three cup holders will display the same color but they will all cycle the 7 colors together.
The lights are in a 3 pack made by Pilot.

I did this mod last night. It's awesome! I went to my local Advanced Auto store and bought a 3-pack of LED anywhere lights for $7.90 (I got blue). The entire mod took under and hour. I lifted the felt out of the back cupholder to uncover the screw that holds the center console in. I wasn't sure what was holding the front of the console down, but a careful yet firm pull released two plastic plugs that simply snap into place. Next I had to pop out the little plastic piece in front of the e-brake (very simple). Then I unscrewed my shifter **** and lifted the entire console up and out of the car.
Once I had the console out, I instantly found the two plugs that TOVE described (a white one and a blue one). I pushed a little of the wire into the Blue plug pins as per TOVE's instructions to test them and the LEDs worked perfectly! Next, I drilled the small 7/32" holes in the cupholders according to the instructions on the LED package, and installed the lights. I then wired them into the plug by simply pushing them in the correct pin positions and taping it well (very ghetto, but it works great and you'll never see it.) Then, I simply snapped everything back into place in reverse order. I now have cool blue cupholders....all for $8.00 Thanks for the tip TOVE!

I love the cup holder illumination, but I hate it when I break it down to how much I paid for each color. . . had I really looked into it, and found out they were a couple of LED's (damn cheap bastards didn't even include the rear cupholder!), I would have opted out and done it myself.
