Default Custom stereo installs in the XB

I have tried searching, as many of you may know the search feature doesn't always produce the best results. I'd just simply like to see any and all custom setups any of you may have on this site.

I'm mainly looking for sub/amp enclosures for the rear of the XB. Just trying to get a better idea on what I want to accomplish with my vehicle.

I like how your sub/amp is sunken under the plexi. I was thinking of doing something similar.

or here

searching for custom installs is hard since people label the threads different. you just need to look through the threads

____, do you have some sort of deal going on with Audiobahn, or do you just like their products? Setup looks pretty loud, how do you like it?

How do you go about getting sponsored by an audio company? I mean, they're not exactly jocking to give away products.

first you need to put together a proposal about the car. second, you need to invest some money into your car. it will be easier to first get sponsored by a stereo shop and then work from there. if you have any magazine coverage coming up then most manufacturers will give out equipment. my sponsorship was a partial, so i still paid for it

Is it pretty easy to get sponsored by a stereo shop? Or does the hook up part comes into play in a situation like this? Like your audio set up. I was thinking of ordering an audiobahn amp to power my 12" Kicker L5, but found a deal to get a Kicker KX1200.1 amp. If I could get Kicker to sponsor me, would I have to have the Kicker component speakers too? Like the Diamond Audio more than the Kicker components.

I found it easy to get sponosred by a audio shop, mine was only partial though I got every thing for $1600, and at the time the kicker 1200. was $1000 the kicker L7s were $400 each and the head unit was $400. so that $2200 worth of stuff I got for $1600, then there was that sick box they built for me and the install. which I'm sure it would be atleast $500 for a custom box like that. so I got about $2700 worth of stuff for $1600

Hey thanks boombox757 for the info! I have pretty much everything except for component speakers and one more amp to power them. I got a friend who works at a car stereo shop. Maybe I can ask for a sponsorship? But your right about the prices for Kicker products. They are up there. Thanks again for the info.
