Default Delphi Roady2,need mounting suggestion(xA)

I just bought this as I am poor and can't afford the Toyota tuner. I tried the vent mount adapter and just ended up scratching my vent all to hell, very upset about that .
I am looking for suggestions on where I should/could mount this thing in my xA and does anybody else already have this one(or any other) mounted so I could see some pics of your installs?

Thanks.

If this is allowed, maybe this topic would do better in xA general discussion,if it is so allowed...please move.

Thanks.

I'd look into buy one of the special mounts for a delphi roady on myradiostore.us or xmfanstore.com.

They offer a lot more flexibility than the basic thing you get.

i tried all the mounts. all of them. the proclips, the gooseneck mount, the cup holder mount, the vent mount, the stupid dash mount. heres what i ended up with
(i had XM, then i switched to sirius, the sirius came with it's own mount, which was a little more sturdy than the gooseneck glassmount that i got on ebay for the XM)

and heres my old goosenck mount, it broke because people kept hitting they're knees into it

You can also try pro-fit-intl.com and panavise.com (look under cellular indash mounts)

I have one of these in both my tC and my xA. For the money, you can't beat it. Just loosen one seat mount bolt and slip the mount right under there and re-tighten.

I bought an ultimount something or other from my radiostore.us.

I had a hell of a time trying to find a place for it, but eventually put it on the plastic part of the vent border.

I tried my best to hide the wires:

Found a nice place for the antenna on the front dash:

Here is a side view of the bracket; unfortunately the circular adhesive is bigger than the width of the place to mount it:
