Default Does our CD player play mini cd singles?

Going thru some old items I had and came across some old cd singles I bought while working in Japan. Does anyone know if they play in our cd players in our car?

Keep in mind that these are those little 3" cd singles. Also, my cd player is from the 04 Model xB and is a six disc changer.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

probably not. The eject system will not push it out enough for you to remove it.
I was a club d.j. for 14 years and I used an adapter that was the same size as a regular cd but was cut out for the 3". there is probably not much chance of finding one now though.
So...to answer your question after all of my rambling......I wouldn't put it in the player.

I just saw that you had a changer......the tray should hold a 3" disc. try it. It won't mess anything up.

I believe he has the in dash changer...in that case it will definitely mess something up. I'd be willing to bet money that there's a disclaimer in your owners manual in big letters that says to not put any odd shaped or small discs in your player...I don't think a slot loading player exists that can accept funky discs.

If it's an in-dash then you will mess something up. Don't do it. If you really want to play it, your computer will play it, copy it on to a regular size disc from there.

For safety reasons, I decided not to try it. Or, at less until I find my manual or ask the dealer.

That is an excellent idea...and since the xb plays mp3 cds you could probably fit ever single you own on a single disc. Of course if you wanted 'hi-fidelity' you could still probably fit 2 or 3 singles per disc and not compress anything.

dealership told me when i first got mine NOT to use odd shaped disc and to be very carefull removing and inserting normal disc
instead of a MP3 CD just get a PIE adatpter and upload your music to your mp3 player

did that with my shuffle doubles as a hand held remote while driving when im feeling espcially lazy about reaching that 20" to the radio console

3" CDs work fine in the single-CD stock unit.

does it really? i thuoght 3'' cds wont work on any slot loading players since it wont be pushed out far enough for an eject.

someone let me borrow a 3" cd so i can go to the dealership and try to pop one in their cd player

So, as you mention above, this is only for the single disc unit?
