The idea is basically the same for all models. Rip out (or carefully remove) all the panels and then apply the mat with a roller. Try to apply it on metal for best results. It really cuts down on road noise and improves your music, especially with good equipment. Pics of my xB:

I also recomend cleaning the surface your applying it to first. It will stay on not matter what but you get the full effect if it is applied well. Most of all give yourself plenty of time to do it.

I totally forgot to mention cleaning the surface, as some surfaces are slick or sticky. I've read putting it on an unclean surface can cause a reduction in effectiveness. And don't stick it to your hands. It can be a real mess. Someone found out the hard way. And I'm not saying it was me or anything.

removing the headliner isnt that hard at all, just remove all the screws holding the oh sh%t handles and remove the side pannels and also the visors and the overhead light and you should be good to go.....

another easy dynamat fix is the licence plate kit that they have. its like 12 bucks, and comes with a piece for the back of your licence plate, some adhesive foam, and a new licence plate holder. it totally eliminated any rattle from the licence plate area.

These are mass loading dampners. In short, they add weight to whatever you apply them to, to change the frequency at which they resonate.
I have personally used the above brands, including dynamat and I've had better experience with non-dynamat brands. I'm not knocking it. It is an excellent product, but IMO you can do better for MUCH less.
