YEah, some of us would love to have the text scroll. Soemthing tells me, though, that I am wishing for wings, since I don't think the unit does this, more to the pity.

you know what would be nice, when you put in a CD, the number buttons become function buttons (RND, RPT, <<<, >>>, SCAN).

Funny thing is that they don't use button 3 or 4. Now, would it have been nice if one of these buttons is a PAUSE button? Just some wishful thinking

i think what people mean is how to make it scroll automatically.
the stock HU is weird... it has functionailty but misses a few little things which would simply make it better.

besides having automatic scrolling text...
anoother thing i find annoying is having to push the random button twice in order to advance tracks on mp3 cds. it just doesn't really make sense why they could have the track up and down buttons do it instead..

Can you explain more about this? I can move to the next mp3 track by pressing up on the Track Up button. I can move further into each song by pressing the "6" button. Is it different on some units?

Has anyone tried this on a '04 with the 6 disc Pioneer unit?

what i mean is if you want the next random track on a mp3 cd.

yes up and down works fine.. but sometimes you don't want the next song up or down alphabetically (usually how it gets laid out on a mp3 cd, which usually means the same artist) you want the next randomized song.. or you would want the previous song you just heard. If you guys use any mp3 players you'll know what i'm talking about. Its not really a problem.. i just think its a really quirky design to work with.. that ould easily have been better

I have a pioneer mp3 deck in my honda. The problems (autoscrolling text, random) exist in that one as well. It is a pioneer thing i guess.

i know if you hold down the random button it will show a picture of a folder above the random line..... and then it will randomly play random songs from random folders... not just one folder... if you have it laid out that way on disc.

Very cool.. I did not know about this feature! I thought it would only play random from one folder. Thanks for posting this.
