No can do, I must be stupid as this sounds so simple.

I tried many different ways and no way worked.
I did get the car mode for xA, xB and tC to work on the radio and I like the xA setting lots better and then I found the SRT was OFF and MAN!!!! did that make the Bass come alive!!
OK, my turn for a dumb question.... How do you find the SRT setting? Or has my brain locked up?

They don't exist, dumb questions that is......

Press the "A" button once the SRT should be the first setting, if not keep pressing till you see it, then use the "+" button to change the setting.

Has anyone done this to their '04 6disc Head unit ??? I want to customize my own welcome message...

heres the deal on my 6disc:
-Its off a 2004 XB
-I dont have the SRT feature
-I dont have the TC on the SSP EQ

And I've tried holding down the 'A', then switching to 'ACC' the line doesnt blink... I've tried to hold down 'M' and then switching to 'ACC' the line doesnt blink... Doesnt work either...

I found the xB/xA/tC setting also. The tC setting BLOWS on the tC. I found to like the xA setting the best on some songs, and the xB on others. The reason for this is bass/treble on some songs are a little bit to strong and switching the car model works better than altering the EQ sometimes.

So, the SRT is the official name of the car type selection?

Yeah...so I have a 2006 and was able to customize the text it displays, but cannot get any of the others to work (i.e. japanese, what moves you, etc.). All the instructions I get has "press A button...press M button", but those buttons do not exist on my radio...

The A button functionality is the Mute button on the 06 HU, but what about the M button, etc...

Also for Japanese, pressing the mute button, turning to ACC, the line blinks, but when I insert the CD, go to track 2, then hold Folder Down and Text and turn off the key, nothing changes. So does this even work on the 2nd gen HU??

anyone who had successfully done this on the 06?

I've done everything, but I just had a new HU put in so I have to do it again. I don't remember where I read how to do it, but I'm 99% sure it was in the manual... you know the thing that's in your glove box that tells you everything you should know about your car. It's in there somewhere. I'll check on my break and let ya guys know.

I don't know if this is posted but when you try to do the japanese scion one insert a regular CD. The mp3 CD will not work because it takes a bit longer to read. Heres what it looks like.

I dont think they listed the easter eggs in the radio manual but they do tell you how to do it in the 05 and 06 Scion catalogue that the dealership usually hands out. But still I have found nothing about what buttons replace the A or M button.....
