Default Finished my under seat sub box....

Here are some pictures of it. Notice how nice the carpet matches. It has a little under .5 cu ft of space. The sub I have in it right now is a 10" Bazooka DVC that I had laying around my house. It calls for .5 cu ft of space so this should sound pretty nice with some polyfill thrown into it. Ill post dimensions of it later. Its made of 3/4" MDF and a 1/2" MDF trim ring to flush mount the sub. Its probably the biggest box you could fit under there without modifying alot of the seat. I did remove the jute padding underneath the carpet so it would sit a little lower. I also moved the seatbelt harnesses and had to go all Jesse James on the seat pan with a hammer to raise that up about 1/4". I didnt have to do the that to seat pan but I dont want to take any chances on the woofer hitting it upon full extension. Enjoy.

How much would you charge to make another one?

Well if youre local Id do it for around 100 - 125 bucks. Includes materials. I dont know what shipping would cost out of state on it since its kinda heavy.

Hmmm that kinda reminds of many years ago when 300ZX had Bodysonic seats that vibrated with the bass....Chicks dug em!

it fires up. I could make one that fires down though but the airspace would suffer. Since I was using a higher wattage 10" woofer, I needed all the airspace I could get... If I made the box a little differently and used smaller MDF than I could make a downfire. Ill probably make a few more in different size and diameters to see what I like the best. If I still dont find something I like I fiberglass one since the thickness of that would be tiny compared to any MDF Id use but if Im gonna spend some extra time fiberglassing, I want to be able to show it off, not hide it.

I like it. I wonder if this box would work for a JL 10'' sub? I think the specs say it can be placed in a box of .5 cubic feet.

Any chance of getting the dimensions? I have been toying with either Chris' under seat box, or making one myself. With the dimension I may just try it myself.
