This is sort of apparent elsewhere on SL, but it was hard to find. Just for people's information, the 6-disc HU _does_ have the 12 pin connector on the back into which you plug the PIE TOY3-AUX. Installing in an xB was easy, the hardest part is figuring out where to put the PIE box (it's unnecessarily large so it doesn't slip or rattle. Also, where to run a line to put in an aux-in jack is a somewhat difficult aesthetic decision (mine is in the box below the climate controls, so it's out of view.)
Anyway, once installed, when you hit "CD" twice, the display goes from, say:
CD 4 - 2
to
CD1 1 - 1
i.e., the CD gets a 1 following it. This is the aux-in. The volume levels for the PIE seemed fine with just a line-out from a CD player. I don't have an Ipod, so I couldn't check that, but I'm sure it's fine.
