Gauging Interest: Third Brake Light/Turn Signal LED's
The idea is a third brake light LED bar that goes the width of the rear glass, the two ends will work as brake light and turn signals...
i'm not sure of the potential cost just yet, just gauging interest....please leave your feedback here!!!
if there is enough interest, i'll look into pricing and (for darren) site sponsorship....
there are more ideas in the works but this is an oppurtunity to get you opinion heard!

That's what I was thinking. I've got 3 in front, why not a few more in back...
Is there a DOT issue with brakelights?

not at all it's just a third brake light....it's going to replace the exsisting one..i'll have to check with an inspection station but 2 or 3 rows of led's should not be too bright.....

question
love the basic idea... but are you thinking red the full width? why not have amber on the ends and have those as turn signals? and as far as legality goes, you'd have to check state by state. they're all generally the same, but there are slight differences.

we'll have to think about the amber thing....i'm not sure about it b/c i kinda wanted the brake to be straight across....then have the turn signals be part of the brake y'know what i'm saying?

Not that it would matter to me, but are sequential blinkers legal? It would be real similar to the new CHP LED light bars. . . hazard lights
