HAS ANYBODY SEEN THESE......plug in pre-Amp outputs????
i've heard and seen a pic of a plug in pre-amp output (RCA's) that attaches between your stock stereo and it's speaker wiring....
Does anyone know is it real and does it work?

First off that will not work
reasons being:
to hook a amp up you have a set of rca that carry a low-level voltage across them to the amp...the way that is hooked up the rca is in conjunction with the high-level outputs...the way that is hooked up the signal will clip the amp due to the signal strength is to high
best advice get a low-level line converter you can get them at wallmart (i belive that the product will be scosche) for about 15 bucks or get them off the web / local audio shop if you want a better brand
i hope this helps

I don't know, if you look at the harness, there seems to be some kind of voltage step down mechanism under the black shrink tubing. The option you lose with this harness is the variable adjustment of the signal level that most line converters have. But as was mentioned, you can get a good higher end line converter for about the same price, such as one of the PAC models, or you can get a cheapie one for about $10. Only downside is you have to stuff more junk up in your dash behind the radio.
I say give it shot though cause I wanna know if it really works. :D

i think it will work..
they sell RCA Convertors for speaker wires on stock headunits
those cost 20-30 bucks that will input 1 pair of speakers and output
2 rca wholes(left/right)..
i think if this harness work as it claims.. it's a wonderful find and at an awesome price.
as for clarity, it will NEVER be as clear as a real RCA output.

like bofmn said i wouldnt buy these or line converters...same reason amps require certain voltages to play clearly....that is why there are Line drivers to boost your low 1/2 volt of power from your head unit up to 12 volts...unless you really dont care about sound quality and letting your amp play at its optimal output then get this....but if you get this you minus well just go to wal mart and buy a rampage amp or some jensen amps....because if you hook up an amp to your deck now....so bottom line if you used this dont get any amp besides ghetto amps...cause thi swill turn any nice amp to POSs...

Believe Ronnie and Brian.
Dont trust that heat shrunk hi-lo converter. Even if it does have a resistor in it, it wont be as good as a PAC or AudioLink.
If you get a hi-lo converter, make sure its adjustable.
At $48 bucks. thats a rip for an unadjustable $6 hilo converter.
If you want, Ill sell you an AudioLink for $48 bucks and ill take care of shipping.

i tihkn that guy is trying a little too hard to make it look like a scion accessory. as u can see in the back ground, the purple paper that says scion is the backing to the bag that has the scion keychain.
