Default Pricey

I'd try it but worried it might mess up something. I highly doubt it will. I mean if it did, Scion would advertise the heck out of such a feature. I mean a dvd capable radio would put that 6 cd changer to shame. They wouldn't add something fairly major, price wise, like that without putting it in the publications. I actually have never heard of an mp3 player yet that can play burned dvd disks, though wouldn't be surprised if there were.

Put a DVD movie in your standard CD player. It'll probably bark at you that it can't read the disc. Unless it shatters in the headunit, it won't damage it.

Honestly, it took a LONG time for stereo manufacturers to even offer MP3 playback in the units. As computers start getting to be more "cool" I think the idea will happen down the road. Heck, if you have a DVD headunit that plays MP3 CD's, there's a good chance it plays DVD's with MP3's as well. But, since I don't have that kind of money I've never bothered to look and see if any of the DVD headunits even do MP3's.

No it doesn't I accidently put the DVD sampler into the drive once thinking it was a regular sampler and it said Disk Unreadable or something like that.

i think he is asking about a dvd with data on it instead of movie files, correct? did the sampler have any video files on it? at that point it wouldn't read it.

doesn't matter what files it has on it. It's not a DVD reader.
