Hey, I found a neon light tube in my garage, so i want to install it in the trunk of my TC. It has an black/white wire for ground and a black one for the battery(+). Could someone tell me where and how I would go about installing it? it should be pretty easy and straightforward right? Thanks~~

 

tap the power to any constant 12v source that is on when the key is in the ignition and of when it isn't. cut the power wire (or add more wire) and add a switch so you can turn the light on and off. ground the ground wire to anything metal in the car - preferrably a metal bolt that you can wrap it around and screw back down. I don't know where in the trunk you could tap it to - possible the light on the left side of the drunk - just take out the whole light and use a t-tap to tap the power wire. You could also power it from the battery or cigarette lighter if you want to wire it all throughout the car. gooduck :D

 

ahh, thank you~ that was quick reply =D. Okay so i went and pulled out the little light inside the trunk, and there are two wires connecting it, a red and orange. How would i go about tapping that? i assume i can get the t-tap at autozone rite?

 

yea t-tap at autozone or radio shack. i don't know which wire is positive and negative though. check the tech section?
