HELP!! my gauge back light went out!!

Default HELP!! my gauge back light went out!!

I was adding a switch to my interior under dash light, however, after I was compeleted, the cold cathod lights wont turn on anymore. And my gauge back light will not turn on either!!

I am not sure what I did wrong....

Can anyone please help?

how did you do the wiring to the switch? maybe you blew the fuse. check the fuse to the top right in the fuse box. it should be red and is 10 Amps. another way to tell if that fuse blew is to see if your AC **** lights turn on.

Make sure you didn't cause a short somewhere.

Yeah, that is exactly what happend to me, all the AC lights and gauge lights are not on anymore. The headunit and the clock are still working tho. I am gonna check the fuse tomorrow. Thanx a lot for the pointer!

I did a really ghetto job in hooking up the light, I tapped into the green wire that's next to the hand brake, the light turns on and off with the headlight switch... worked fine until i try to add a switch to it.

^You're welcome. haha, yeah same thing happened when I added my vent LED's with a switch. too much power or something added to the 10 Amp fuse. I unhooked the LED's and replaced the fuse, now everything is fine. I think I blew about 6 fuses trying to figure it out though.
