Default help with power source

i have set-up 2 screens for my xA, all the wirings are done except for the fact that my inline fuse( tried 1 1/2A 250V/ 2A 250V/ 5A 250V ) for my power supply keeps bustin' out. BTW my power supply is straight from the battery. Basically I ran a 4G wire and just tapped it for the screen and my player. The 2 screens and my dvd player have their own in-line fuses so should I just disconnect the one from the battery ?

is there any other 12v power source I can tap, I've seen a lot of comments for the xB power supply, just want to know if it's the same w/ the xA.

thanks

does the fuse blow right away, or does it play awhile before it blows?

What are the specs. in the manual?

it lets it play a bit and then blows after a while. anyway I decided to just designate the wire for an amp 'm getting soon. I used another power source for the video set-up, what I really need is tap 12v source when key is on ACC position. Can u tell me where's a good wire...I ride an xA....

thanks

Depending on how much current your monitors draw, it can be safe to tap the power were your head unit is. If not, the other best Accessory source is at the ignition harness. DONT ever use fuse taps or antyhing like that. They loosen up the prongs and the fuses will rattle loose. NOTE: Always fuse within 6 inches or less at the source of power.

It being tapped to your amp power wire should have nothing to do with it, but without looking and troubleshooting the car, I could only speculate that there is a dead short, or the fuse is not to specifications.

Triple check your connections make sure everythis is taped up. If you can take a pic of your connection it would help.

if it is a dead short the fuse would blow as soon as power is applied. I would try disconnecting one monitor from thepower source, see if the fuses still blows. If it doesn't, then it might to much of a load. if it does then it could be a bad monitor. never excide the manufactors fuse rating with a larger fuse. You might also try to seperate lines with two seperate fuse. The gray wire on your deck harness is switched acc. Like denny says without trouble shooting personaaly, hard to tell try theses steps.
