Default HIDs in projectors (dual halo ones)

i have those dual halo projectors and well i am plannig on installing HIDs
i need to get the 9006 ones ...right?
ok well my question is as follows:

will it just plug in to the harness the projectors have?

do i need to buy anything extra for this?

what i am trying to ask will it be just a simple plug and play or do i have to modify some wires for it to work?

any pics of some installed would help ...
-pics of the wires from behind the headlights...

you will need HID ballasts. they sell kits online that come with bulbs and the ballasts, you could look around a junkyard and bum some ballasts off a car with a HID setup save some cash

HID is just high intensity discharge you can convert the stocks to HID or you can buy those cheap ebay dual halos and convert those to HID. costs about 300 bucks to do a conversion unless you hitup your local junk yard.

If you choose to go this route, you will need a rebased bulb, ballasts, and you should create a relay harness to draw power directly from the battery. Otherwise, you can eventually fry out your headlight switches and/or wiring.

ok.. i have the same thing as you do.. i have dual proj headlights w/ angel eyes on each proj. I purchased my HID kit from this place

http://www.hid-light.com/8228.html

and they work great. Easy as pie to install. The kit is plug & play. You take the factory harness & plug it into a one side of the ballast. The other side of the ballast plugs into the bulbs that you install into the proj. headlight housing. I purchased the 9006 kit 'cause w/ the proj. headlights I got it came with a 9006 bulb.

Now the only real trick is that the factory wire harness has 2 wires in it. The trick is that you have to take those wires either out of the plastic harness or cut them & re-splice them. Going into the ballast, the positive & negative are on the opposite side as what is in the factory harness. So you have to take the factory harness & reverse them so that when it hits the harness on the ballest, it's in the right sequence & that's it. NOW THIS IS FOR THE KIT I PURCHASED, MAKE SURE WHAT EVER KIT YOU GET IS THE SAME WAY.

Hope this helps & let me know if any other questions need to be answered

I think the whole kit, including re-wiring the harness took me maybe an hour.. if that.

The kit is awsome, looks great thru my proj. head lights & I am very happt that I got them.. By far the best money spent on my car. In fact, thinking about getting another kit for th fogs..

As for the TC yea it will fit, just get the right bulb kit for your car (not certain off the top of my head which bulb is in the TC). It's that easy

What "K" are people running? I was thinking of 8000K for that soft blue colour.... anything higher seems like real "racy" blue or purple?! anything less is just white, or a dull white..... so what are ya running?

4100K. 6000K should be a softer blue, 8000K is like a "blue tinted 100w halogen bulb" kind of blue.

The projector lens is what gives your headlights the color, not the bulb. If you look at an OEM HID setup, the light on the road is white, but if you look at the projector, it flickers back and forth from white/blue/purple depending on how you look at it.

You want the actual light to be white, not blue... but of course, they sell yellow and red tinted bulbs and people buy those too, so it's up to you what color you want everything to be when you're driving.

Do a retrofit and get the oem stuff. A lot more output. HID's usually use a different project made for xenon. The dual projetor setup you have is for halogen bulbs. Do you want it for the look or for the light output?

I am running a 10,000k HID kit on my car. The other guys is probably right about them being a halagon proj. headlight set up, but that's ok. The HID kit has way more color & output then any bulb which is what I was aiming for anyhow. The color that outputs is white w/ hint of purple. I haven't seen them from a distance looking directly at them, but that's what it looks like from the drivers seat.

As for pics, I do have some of the actual proj. headlights but none of the HID kit yet. Will do that soon. Also, not certain how to post or insert images in this forum yet so if someone knows how, please let me know for I am new to this forum.
